Mark Holden - Business Author and Leadership Expert
Mark Holden started out in sales and marketing before studying and working in the area of social services, where he gained insight into dealing with people and the complexities of human behaviour.
After a number of years in counselling and social work he moved into the corporate world, initially focusing on training and development and later concentrating on organisational development and change.
Since the mid-1980s he has worked for a number of organisations in human resource and organisational development roles, in a wide range of markets and cultures. His workshops and seminars are highly interactive and designed to meet the business needs of organisations.
Throughout his career, Holden has specialised in leadership development. He has trained thousands of managers in leadership techniques that are crucial for modern organisations. His leadership development programs are current, practical and designed to align with the strategic initiatives of individual businesses.
Since 1992 he has conducted his highly successful Future Leaders Program to fast-track high-potential employees into senior leadership roles. In 1994 he founded his own consulting business, specialising in executive development. He has since worked with such organisations as Qantas, British Airways, Walt Disney Animation, Walt Disney TVA International, News Limited, John Fairfax, Australian Consolidated Press, Swift and Moore, Microsoft, Wang, Woolworths, Big W, Dairy Farmers, Brisbane City Council, Queensland Government (Transport and Attorney General’s Office), ABC, Laing and Simmons, Belle Property, Australian Taxi Council, SOCOG and the Public Trust Office of Queensland.
He is a prominent speaker and executive coach based in Australia and the author of two books, "The Use and Abuse of Office Politics" and "Get What You Want Out of Life and Work". He is also in demand as an international presenter.
Mark Holden has qualifications in theology, counselling and psychotherapy as well as postgraduate qualifications in management, business, training and development management.
